Aztec Clothing
-
There are many differences between the clothing of Royalty and Priests compared to that of the average people.
-
All clothing of the Aztec society was generally loose fitting with the main differences in clothing being the decoration of lack thereof and fabric.
-
Only the upper class was allowed to wear Cotton clothing, with the commoners restricted to wearing mostly ayate fibre which was from the Maguey Cactus.
-
They also were allowed to wear yucca or palm fibres however these were not as common as they ayate fibre.
